APRS-IS in Australia

Here in Australia, there are three TIER2 servers that have been set up specifically to service the APRS-IS connections from the Australian region. Each of these servers provides a standard set of ports on which connections can be made. Each port provides a different subset of the global APRS-IS stream. The recommended DNS to use is for the Oceania region.

Below is the list of APRS-IS servers...

Available Ports

Any traffic within 100km of your location. This requires that your station transmits a valid position packet to the server after connecting.

Provides all VK* and ZL* traffic
User Definable Filter Port. This is the RECOMMENDED port to use, since it allows you to customise EXACTLY what you want to recieve, which allows you to shape your bandwidth requirements
